A valuable lesson from my father on the importance of one's honor concerning belt promotion and time served.  This explains a few of the requirements of the ShinPu-Ren system followed by a beginner's belt promotion.  Dylan finally got his orange belt second time around followed by applause and ceremonious handshaking.  All of our karateka earn every ounce of each belt, giving them a strong sense of accomplishment, self worth and the satisfaction of knowing that it wasn' t just a hand out.  More to come on testing requirements as well as footage and pics of Hanshi John's last visit.
